This page explains what information calxiao.com collects, why, and what happens to it. This is a personal site — there's no advertising, no data resale, and no tracking beyond what's described below.

What this site collects

The only personal information this site collects is what you choose to submit through the contact form on the Connect page: your email address, a title/subject line, and your message. Nothing is collected unless you fill in and submit that form yourself.

The Documents section is protected by a password. Entering it doesn't create an account or tie a password attempt to any personal information — it's just checked against a server-side value.

How it's used

Contact form submissions are used for exactly one purpose: replying to you. Your email address is used as the reply-to address on the resulting email so a response can reach you — nothing is added to a mailing list, and nothing is used for marketing.

Third parties involved

A few services this site relies on to run:

  • Resend — delivers contact form submissions as email. Your message passes through their infrastructure to reach its destination.
  • Google reCAPTCHA — used on the contact form to block automated spam. Google collects information (such as device and browser data) to make that determination, governed by Google's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • Vercel — hosts this site and, like any web host, keeps standard server logs (e.g. IP address, browser type, request timestamps) as part of running the infrastructure. This site doesn't use those logs for tracking or analytics.

Cookies & tracking

This site doesn't use cookies, analytics scripts, or any third-party trackers. Nothing about your visit is logged beyond what's described above.

Data retention

Contact form submissions exist as an email — there's no separate database storing them. If you'd like a past message deleted, reach out through the same form and ask.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children, and no information is knowingly collected from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If what this site collects or how it's used changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will reflect it.
